at Family Sports and/or South Suburban Sports Complex
BIRTH YEARS:
Boys and Girls: 2012-2009 (11U, 12U, 13U, 14U)
ELITE and OPEN GROUPS
(players will practice with their own group which will be determined at Spring Tryouts).
SEASON LENGTH:

Chicago Chi-Town Shuffle: April 21-23, 2023
2012-2009 SPRING PRACTICE FORMAT:
Practice will include Skills sessions, game situational play plus team practices.

Emphasis on skill development
Goalie Sessions
Specialty Skills Training Weekend

The Colorado Thunderbirds are excited to announce our Thunderbirds Midget Pre-Tryout Skates will be held April 4 - May 11, 2023, at Family Sports Ice Arena, and/or South Suburban Sports Complex. These sessions are open to AAA, AA, and High School Midget (2005-2008) players that are interested in trying out for the Colorado Thunderbirds or training at an elite level. The Pre-Tryout Skates are voluntary, not mandatory, but are highly recommended. It helps the coaching staff to have some type of relationship and history with the players prior to the Main Tryouts May 12-14, 2023. This will allow our coaching staff a better way to help identify future Thunderbirds players/families that will blend and mesh into a successful team family.
The Pre-Tryout Skates will be high tempo skates designed to prepare players for upcoming tryouts and will focus on important fundamental skills including skating, passing, shooting, and checking, as well as small games and full-ice scrimmages.
Please email Kim Feno, and we will assign you a session and confirm time works. It is recommended that players who are interested should register early as space is limited.

The Colorado Thunderbirds is pleased to announce our Goalie Skills Clinic. Come and train with the Colorado Thunderbirds goalies and elite coaching staff -- one of the top AAA ranked programs in the USA.
The Goalie Skills will be Wednesdays from June 7-July 19. All sessions will be overseen by our Thunderbirds Goalie Coach, plus guest coaches.
The sessions are open to 2012-2005 goalies that want to train and develop at an elite level. Come train with the best coaches in one of the premier AAA programs in the country!
It is recommended that Goalies who are interested should register early as space is limited.
