CO THUNDERBIRDS 11U AND 13U
THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT
CHAMPIONS!

Colorado Thunderbirds 11U and 13U are the 2017 Littleton Thanksgiving Tournament Champions!  Both teams went undefeated in the tournament with the Thunderbirds 11U team beating Foothills (6-2), Rampage (4-3), Mountain Militia (5-0), DU (3-1), and Colorado Springs Tigers (3-0) in round robin, Colorado Springs Tigers again in the semi-final game (8-5) to face off against a strong Utah 12U Travel team in the Championship game. Thunderbirds 11U would play from behind to battle back and tie the game in the third period to force an overtime period.  Thunderbirds kept the momentum going and beat Utah in overtime 2-1.  Thunderbirds 13U kept the goals coming as they beat Hyland Hills (7-4), Colorado Springs Tigers (10-2), DU (9-1), Las Vegas Knights (6-1), and Arvada (18-1) before beating Krivo (6-3) to advance to play Littleton in the Championship game.  Thunderbirds 13U earned the Thanksgiving Championship beating Littleton with a score of 5-1.  
 

Congratulations to the Colorado Thunderbirds 11U and 13U teams!  We wish both teams the best of luck as they head to Anaheim to compete in the NHL Youth Cup December 1-3.  We wish Colorado Thunderbirds 10U, 12U, and 14U the best of luck as they play in the NHL Youth Cup in Dallas December 1-3, and best of luck to the Colorado Thunderbirds 15U, 16U, and 18U teams as they play in the NHL Midget Cup in Marlboro, MA, January 25-28.
