Another weekend on the road for the 13U Thunderbirds and another weekend that ended with a banner raising and no losses. The 13U Tbirds help to end an 8 year drought for the US at the Nations Cup in East Lansing, MI going 4-0-1 and bringing the cup back to the United States. The Tbirds picked up wins vs. Pittsburg Stealth, Halton Hurricanes, a tie with Little Caesars and two wins over the Windsor Spitfires.  The Championship win for the 13’s included coming back from being down 1-0, 2-1 and included a four goal third period to win the Nations Cup back for the US by the score of 5-2

The weekend puts the Thunderbirds 10-0-1 on their last two trips (41-7-5 overall on the season) which includes winning the Edina Classic and now the Nations Cup. The 12th ranked 13U Thunderbirds will be headed to Dallas to face their regional rivals Presidents day weekend.
