The Colorado Thunderbirds are pleased to announce that U18 forward Mitchell Bailey has signed to play for the Springfield Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League for the 2012-13 season.  "Springfield is getting a true competitor in Mitchell, in every sense of the word.  He is a player who competes with an edge and never quits.  He has developed into an excellent two-way player," states U18 Head Coach Paul DePuydt.  Mitchell has been a member of the Colorado Thunderbirds organization for 3 seasons and has played on the U18, U16, and U15 teams.  He is the son of Rick and Deb Bailey of Aurora, CO.

Colorado Thunderbirds U18 forward Tyler Andrew has signed a tender with the Topeka Roadrunners of the North American Hockey League for the 2012-13 season.  He is in his first season as a member of the Colorado Thunderbirds organization.  "We are proud of Tyler for this accomplishment.  Topeka is getting a very good player who has taken his game to a new level this season.  His hard work has paid off and he has developed his overall game nicely throughout the season.  I know he will progressively continue his development next season under the guidance of a great coach in Topeka, Scott Langer," states U18 Head Coach Paul DePuydt.  Tyler is the son of Scott and Vicky Andrew of Bethel Park, PA and currently resides in Erie, CO with his host family of Robert and Ann Palumbo.
