SMILANIC AWARDED BEST FORWARD of U17 FIVE NATIONS TOURNAMENT!

TY SMILANIC,
AWARDED BEST FORWARD AT
U17 FIVE NATIONS TOURNAMENT!

The US National U17 Team placed 3rd in the 2019 U17 Five Nations Tournament in Tranas, Sweden, Sunday, February 10.  Former Colorado Thunderbirds, Ty Smilanic, tallied 2 goals and 5 assists earning him the Best Forward of the tournament!  Smilanic played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2012-2014 and 2016-2018, currently plays for the U17 NTDP, and is committed to play his college hockey at University of Denver.  Ty grew up in Colorado watching his favorite NHL Team, Colorado Avalanche, and learning to play from his hockey idol Joe Sakic who coached Ty when Ty was 8 years old.  
   
Congratulations to Ty!  Colorado Thunderbirds wish him the best of luck as he continues his hockey adventures!
