NHL CUP QUALIFIER
CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Congratulations to the Colorado Thunderbirds 12U, 13U, 14U, and 16U Teams as they captured the Avalanche NHL Cup Qualifier Tournament this past weekend at the Pepsi Center!  The Colorado Thunderbirds 12U Team beat the Rampage 14-0, Colorado Thunderbirds 13U Team won in a shootout 2-1 over Roughriders, Colorado Thunderbirds 14U edged out Roughriders 3-2, and Colorado Thunderbirds 16U was victorious over the Rampage 6-3. The Champions earn the right to represent the Colorado Avalanche at the NHL Youth and Midget Cup Tournaments.  The 12U and 13U will be held in Anaheim January 4-6, the 13U will be held in Dallas January 4-6, and the 16U will be held February 1-3, 2019, at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, MA.  Last year was the first year for the NHL Midget Cup which had 40 teams competing in front of more than 150 scouts.
