TERRY, GAMBRELL, & HAWKINSON
WIN NCAA TITLE!

Colorado Thunderbirds are proud that three former Thunderbirds players, Troy Terry, Dylan Gambrell, and Brad Hawkinson, helped Denver Pioneers win their 8th NCAA Championship!  Troy Terry played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2014 and was drafted in 2015, round 5, #148 overall by NHL Anaheim Ducks.  Upon capturing the NCAA Title, Terry became the third American player to win the World Junior Championship and NCAA Championship in the same season!  Dylan Gambrell played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2011-2012, and was drafted in 2016, round 2, #60 overall by NHL San Jose Sharks.  Brad Hawkinson played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2011.  Hawkinson was a big part of the Thunderbirds team that won Nationals in 2010.  Both the 2010 Nationals and the 2017 NCAA tournaments were in Chicago, making Chicago a special city for Hawkinson!
