Tbirds 16U Lown Commits to Miami of Ohio

The Colorado Thunderbirds program is pleased to announce that Ben Lown has committed to play college hockey for Miami of Ohio of NCHC after his junior hockey career concludes.  He is a futures pick by the Omaha Lancers of the USHL.  Lown was born in 1998 and hails from Newport Coast, CA.  Lown, a center, that is currently playing for the Thunderbirds 16U National team.  “Ben is a special young man that is an explosive skater with a tremendous offensive skill set.  Ben competes each and every shift he steps on the ice.  He has a work ethic that is second to none.  He can play in all situations and is what we call a 200 foot player.  Ben and Miami are a perfect fit" said Angelo Ricci, Director of Hockey Operations/16U Head Coach.  The Thunderbirds organization continues to provide an avenue for the elite student-athlete to develop and advance to the highest levels of our game.  Ben is the son of David and Leslie Lown.  Congrats to Ben!
