Jason Cotton, forward for the Colorado Thunderbirds 2011-2012 U16 team, has committed to play his college hockey with the Northeastern Huskies of Hockey East starting in the fall of 2014.  "Jason has such tremendous upside.  He will be a terrific addition to Northeastern.  His mindset when he came to the Tbirds was to develop and gain exposure.  With his hard work, he has achieved his goal of playing college hockey," stated Angelo Ricci, Director of Hockey Operations for the Thunderbirds.  Cotton was recently named to the USA Under-18 Select Team following participation in the  USA Hockey Boys' Select 17 Player Development Camp.  The select team will compete at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament August 13-17 in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Piestany, Slovakia.  Jason is the son of Peggy and Steve Cotton from Parker, TX.
