The Tbird U12s (2000 birth year) had a successful first tournament of the year, ending the Denver SuperSeries with a 4-1-1 record. The action started on Saturday with a win over Russell Stover and another over the Phoenix Firebirds. Taking their momentum with them into Sunday's games, the Tbirds were able to score in the first shift against their regional rival Dallas Stars. It was a good thing they did, because it was a defensive grudge match for the rest of the game and ended as a 1-0 Tbird victory. That afternoon, the Tbirds fell to Russell Stover by one goal. Championship Monday started with the second win over the Firebirds of the weekend, and ended with a tie against Dallas which gave the Championship to the Tbirds.
