The Colorado Thunderbirds are pleased to announce the coaching staff for the 2013-2014 season. The Thunderbirds offer the highest level of coaching from top to bottom. The Colorado Thunderbirds provide the benchmark of AAA competition for elite players at the U18, U16, U15, U14, U13, U12 and U11 levels.  The Thunderbirds are the eight time defending

State Champion at the U16 level and five time defending State Champion at the U14 level.  For the fourth straight season, the U18 team is the defending Rocky Mountain District Champions which allowed them to compete in the national tournament.  The U16 team has been to the national tournament four out of the past eight years.  The U14 team has been to the national tournament six of the past seven seasons.  We are proud members of the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League at the U18 and U16 levels and Super Series AAA League/Tier 1 Elite League at the U15,

U14, U13, U12 and U11 levels.

The Thunderbird home facility is Big Bear Ice Arena. We may also skate out of Family Sports, South Suburban and Ice Ranch. We are very thankful to be supported by three very strong CCYHL Tier II programs:  Arapahoe Ice Warriors, Foothills Flyers and Littleton Hawks.

The Thunderbirds offer an elite group of high level coaches that are committed to each player’s development. Our program offers the training that is needed to establish and maintain an elite developmental track for all Thunderbird players. The program is structured to provide players the time needed to excel both academically as well as athletically. The foundation of the program is based on the core values of accountability, attitude, effort, respect and trust.
