2019 NHL DRAFT!

Colorado Thunderbirds are excited that the streak of Thunderbirds Alumni being selected in the NHL Draft continues with Nolan Foote and Isaiah Saville being drafted in the 2019 NHL Draft.  Foote and Saville bring the total Colorado Thunderbirds players drafted in the NHL to 20 since 2008!  
 
Nolan Foote, a forward who played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2011-2016, was chosen by Tampa Bay Lightning in Round 1, #27 overall.  Nolan is following in his dad and brother's "foote-steps" as older brother, Cal who played Thunderbirds from 2009-2015, was also selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft, #14 overall, and dad, Adam, is a 20-year NHL defense veteran who was selected in the second round, #22 overall in the 1989 NHL draft by Quebec.  Proud mom, Jenn, is their biggest fan and supporter.
 
Isaiah Saville, a goalie who played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2016-2017, was selected in round 5, #135 overall by the Vegas Golden Knights.  Isaiah was the 2019 USHL Goaltender of the Year, and is committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.  Isaiah is the son of proud parents Rich Saville and Kjersti Langnes of Anchorage, Alaska.
