CALDER CUP!
Congratulations to former Colorado Thunderbirds, Josiah Didier, and his Charlotte Checkers team for winning the Calder Cup Championship! The Checkers, minor league affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes, beat the Wolves in Game 5 to capture the first championship in Checkers nine AHL seasons. Didier played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2007-2010, college hockey at DU, and was drafted in the 2011 NHL Draft, round 4, #97 overall by Montreal Canadiens.
