BRANDON CARLO
PLAYS FOR
STANLEY CUP!

Colorado Thunderbirds are very proud of their former player and Captain, Brandon Carlo!  Carlo played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2013 and is the son of proud parents Angie and Lenny Carlo of Colorado Springs.  Carlo was drafted in the 2015 NHL Draft, round 2, #37 overall by the Boston Bruins, started playing for Boston Bruins at the age of 19, and has been a reliable stay-at-home defenseman and penalty killer.

Although Carlo and the Boston Bruins didn't reach their goal of winning the 2019 Stanley Cup Championship, it is quite an accomplishment to play for the Cup in the 7th game!  Plus, Brandon Carlo was the first player to score his 1st career playoff goal via a short-handed marker in the Stanley Cup Final since Serge Savard in the Canadiens vs Blues Game 2 of 1968 Final (May 7, 1968)!

Colorado Thunderbirds had 4 former players in the quest for the Stanley Cup as Brandon Carlo, Boston Bruins; Jaccob Slavin, Carolina Hurricanes; Seth Jones, Columbus Blue Jackets; and Dylan Gambrell, San Jose Sharks, all competed to earn the privilege to play for the Cup.

Congratulations to these former Colorado Thunderbirds on their many accomplishments!  We look forward to following them in their continuing hockey careers!
