Colorado Thunderbirds is excited that former Thunderbirds player, Troy Terry, has been named to the Team USA Olympic Hockey Team! Troy and Team USA will compete for the gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, February 9-25.
Troy Terry played his youth hockey at Colorado Thunderbirds 2008-2014 before moving on to play on the US National U18 Team 2014-2015, and is currently a Junior at University of Denver where he has recorded 25 points in 20 games this season and is tied for 9th in NCAA scoring. Terry was selected in the 2015 NHL Draft by Anaheim, Round 5, 148th overall. Troy represented USA internationally previously at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championship and the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship where he went four-for-four in shootout attempts during the final 2 games to help America win gold!
Troy is the son of proud parents Susan and Chuck Terry of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Colorado Thunderbirds wish Troy and Team USA the best of luck at the Olympics!
