2017 USA U18 SELECT TEAM!

 

The Colorado Thunderbirds are proud of Isaiah Saville, former Colorado Thunderbirds goalie, who was chosen for the 2017 USA Under-18 Select Team that will compete August 7-12 at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup Tournament in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Bratislava, Slovakia.  The Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup is an annual event held each August for national under-18 teams from around the world.  The 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup will include teams from Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.  Team USA has finished in the top 3 of the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup 13 times since the tournament began in 1991.  The US earned 1st place in 2003, 2nd in nine occasions (1993, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2010, 2013, 2016) and third 3 times (1991, 1995, 2014). 

Isaiah Saville played goalie last season for the Colorado Thunderbirds 16U team under Coach Angelo Ricci.  Saville is going to play for USHL Madison Capitols this coming 2017-2018 season, and is committed to NCHC University of Nebraska-Omaha for 2019-2020.  Isaiah is the son of proud parents Rich Saville and Kjersti Langnes of Anchorage, Alaska.
