FORMER TBIRDS PLAYER, 
DOMINIC TURGEON,
WINS CALDER CUP!

 

Congratulations to former Colorado Thunderbirds player, Dominic Turgeon, on winning the Calder Cup!  Turgeon played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2012, and is currently playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins.  Turgeon and the Grand Rapids Griffins won the Calder Cup June 13 by a score of 4-3 in Game 6 when they defeated the Syracuse Crunch in the playoff series 4-2.  The Grand Rapids Griffins are the AHL affiliate to the NHL Detroit Red Wings.  Dominic Turgeon was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings as their 2nd pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.  Dominic is the son of proud parents, former NHL player, Pierre, and Elisabeth Turgeon of Cherry Hills, Colorado.  The Colorado Thunderbirds wish Dom the best of luck in his continuing hockey career!
