CLARK CUP CHAMPIONSHIP!

Colorado Thunderbirds were well-represented in the USHL Clark Cup Championship as there were 6 former Colorado Thunderbirds players between the two teams competing in the finals.  Dayton Rasmussen, goalie for Colorado Thunderbirds from 2014-2015 and committed to University of Denver, and Baker Shore, forward for Colorado Thunderbirds 2009-2016 and committed to Harvard, playing for Chicago Steel and squaring off against former teammates Keegan Mantaro, defense for Colorado Thunderbirds from 2009-2015 and committed to Air Force, Anea Ferrario, defense for Colorado Thunderbirds from 2012-2014 and committed to Brown University, Phillip Knies, forward for Colorado Thunderbirds from 2014-2015 and committed to Miami of Ohio, and Nikolai Lyssogor, defense for Colorado Thunderbirds from 2010-2011 and 2012-2016, playing for Sioux City Musketeers.  Chicago Steel defeated Sioux City Musketeers in overtime 2-1 to win the USHL Clark Cup Championship winning the best-of-five series, 3-2.  This was Chicago Steel's first USHL Championship.  Congratulations to these former Colorado Thunderbirds players!
