WHL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Former Colorado Thunderbirds Scott Eansor, forward 2008-2011 and 2012-2013 for the Tbirds, playing for Seattle Thunderbirds faced off against another former Colorado Thunderbirds, Bryan Lockner, forward 2011-2012 and 2013-2016 for Tbirds, playing for Regina Pats in the 2017 WHL Championship.  The Seattle Thunderbirds were down 3-1 with 6 minutes left in regulation when they were able to score 2 goals in less than 3 minutes apart to send the game to overtime.  Seattle Thunderbirds then scored in overtime to crown the Seattle Thunderbirds WHL Champions for the first time in franchise history.  Congratulations to these former Colorado Thunderbirds players and their teams!
