5-HOLE LEGEND,
TROY TERRY,
SCORES IN SHOOTOUT
AT WORLD JUNIORS TO
EARN USA GOLD!

Troy Terry, former Colorado Thunderbirds, has done it again!  Troy's name was called for the shootout for the World Junior Games against Russia, and he scored not one, not two, but three shootout goals to advance USA to the Gold Medal Game at the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships.  Troy's name was called again for the World Junior Gold Medal Game against Canada, and Troy was the 5-Hole Hero again as he was the only one to score out of ten shootout shooters, so earned the game winning goal to capture Gold for USA!

Troy Terry's name is now a household name across the Nation linked with other hockey legends like TJ Oshie.  He has received shoutouts from celebrity athletes like his namesake, Troy Aikman.  Troy Terry's name will go down in American Hockey history for being cool and collected as he scored four shootout goals in the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships to lead the USA to bring home the Gold.

Troy Terry played his youth hockey at Colorado Thunderbirds 2008-2014 before moving on to play on the US National U18 Team 2014-2015, and is currently a Sophomore at University of Denver.  Terry was selected in the 2015 NHL Draft by Anaheim, Round 5, 148th overall.

Troy is the son of proud parents Susan and Chuck Terry of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.  Colorado Thunderbirds wish Troy the best of luck in his continuing hockey adventures and look forward to watching him in the next shootout!
