TERRIFIC ARTICLE
IN BOSTON GLOBE
ON FORMER THUNDERBIRDS
BRANDON CARLO!

"Live by Faith, not by Sight" is the Brandon Carlo family good luck charm and motto.  There is a great article about Brandon Carlo in the Boston Globe written by Kevin Dupont.  Dupont writes about Carlo's family and Brandon's path from a young boy of 4 years old who fell in love with the game of hockey to living his dream of playing defense for the NHL Boston Bruins.  The article goes on to state that "with varying and untold amounts of faith, good luck, determination, hard work and natural talent," Carlo is "more than one-third of the way through the NHL season, ... [and] has piled up enough creds (most notably a bountiful 22:23 in average ice time) to be among the early favorites for NHL rookie of the year honors."  Carlo credits his faith to getting him where he is today, and other than that he is "just all about his family and hockey."

Brandon Carlo played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2013 before moving on to play for the Tri-City Americans in the WHL.  Then this past September he made the most of his opportunity to play for the NHL Boston Bruins. Dupont states that "Denver is where Carlo's game really began to take shape when playing 5 seasons with the Thunderbirds."  Brandon credits Coach Angelo Ricci as "having the biggest influence on him" and "who he feels helped him the most to shape his pro mind-set."

Brandon is the son of proud parents Lenny and Angie Carlo of Colorado Springs.

Colorado Thunderbirds wish Brandon and his family the best of luck in his continuing hockey career!
