FORMER THUNDERBIRDS,
NOLAN FOOTE,

CHOSEN TO PLAY IN
WORLD U17 TOURNAMENT!

Nolan Foote, former Colorado Thunderbirds, currently playing forward for the WHL Kelowna Rockets, has been chosen to play for Hockey Canada in the 2016 U17 Hockey Challenge, October 27-November 5, 2016, in Salute Ste. Marie, Ontario. Foote was selected as one of sixty-six players which will be divided up into three Canadian teams to play against Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States.

Shawn Bullock, senior manager of hockey operations and men's national teams for Hockey Canada had this to say about Nolan Foote and the other young players selected to represent Canada in the World U17 Tournament, "These are the best 66 players in the country who are, by-and-large, making their first appearance in international competition as part of Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence.  They have been selected not only based on their current ability, but also on their potential to represent Canada at under-18 and junior competition in the coming years.  This is a skilled group of high-performers with long-term international potential."

Congratulations to Nolan Foote and his family!  We wish him the best of luck at the World U17 Tournament and look forward to watching him play.
