OLOFSSON DREAMS OF PLAYING
AGAINST BROTHER IN NHL ONE DAY!

Fredrik Olofsson, commonly known as Freddy, joined some fellow Swedish players at the Blackhawks prospect camp this year.  Freddy, forward, played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2009-2013 and his older brother, Gustav, defense, played Colorado Thunderbirds 2009-2012.  Both brothers played for the Colorado Thunderbirds upon moving to Colorado and then moved on to play in the USHL and the similarities do not stop there.  Gustav was drafted in 2013 in the second round of the NHL draft by Minnesota Wild, played one year at Colorado College, and played in the NHL last season.  Freddy was drafted in 2014 in the fourth round of the NHL draft by Chicago Blackhawks, and will return to play hockey again at Nebraska-Omaha this season for his sophomore year.  Freddy's dream is not only to play in the NHL, but to play against his brother in a NHL game one day; a dream that could very well come true in the very near future!

Freddy and Gustav Olofsson also have a younger brother, Jesper, who is playing on the Colorado Thunderbirds 11U team this coming 2016-2017 season.  Colorado Thunderbirds wish the Olofsson brothers the very best of luck this season and look forward to watching them as they continue to pursue their hockey dreams!
